About us

The Real Cover has its roots in a family deeply connected to the art of fishing. We grew up in a family of fishermen and women, where the love for the water and fishing was either a passionate hobby or a trade. My aunt held various South African fishing records, and three of my uncles fished professionally. 

As a child, I watched my family spending time to protect their reels, and I saw my dad design his own bag to prevent his reels from being damaged by the elements. This legacy of care and innovation is what drives The Real Cover today.

Beyond providing top-notch protection for fishing reels, The Real Cover is committed to giving back. Our aim is to direct profits toward educating young people about the environment, inspiring them to become custodians of natural areas, and ensuring that future generations will feel a connection to the natural world.
